Thank you to the student leaders at Tombaugh Elementary for pitching in to collect items from all grade levels in order to donate to Project Link. 5th grade students at Tombaugh organized the project, and every grade level participated in collecting donations. Each grade level focused on certain items to donate, such as shoes, non-perishable food items, clothing, monetary donations, toiletry items, baby items, blankets, etc. The school filled Miss Cecilia's vehicle 2 times with all the donations. Keep up the great work, Comets! More about Project Link: Project Link Homeless Education Program works to improve the educational outcomes for homeless students by providing educational support through tutoring, basic needs such as school supplies, hygiene items, snacks and clothing. Project Link also assists families in collaborating with community, social service organizations, and with school personnel to identify and serve students in need.
