Assessment, Accountability, Research, & School Improvement (AARSI)

One of the goals of the Teaching and Learning Center with the District Testing Coordinator is to ensure that students' learning outcomes, progress, and achievements are effectively measured and tracked. Here are some additional key objectives and responsibilities that guide our assessment practices in LCPS:

  • Ensuring assessments are aligned with learning standards

  • Collecting and analyzing the data with the lens of educational improvement

  • Using the data to individualize instruction and goal setting

  • Evaluation of programs to determine achievement towards program goals

  • Aligning professional development opportunities to data

  • Communication with all stakeholders regarding assessment best practices

  • To facilitate a comprehensive and fair evaluation of student learning while providing educators and administrators with valuable information to enhance teaching and learning strategies
